Update to HB 2610 Frequently Asked Questions Document Released by TEA

Today, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) posted an update to the HB 2610 Frequently Asked Questions document. In the update, you will find additional information on waivers covering select scenarios for the 2016-17 school year. Waivers will be available to address school districts’ calendars that do not conform to the requirements for the minimum number of minutes/hours per day or year for selected instructional settings, including prekindergarten, Alternative Education Program (AEP), Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), and charter schools.
