Becky has been involved in public education since 1976. She is currently serving as the Education Associate at TASBO after retiring on 8/31/2021 as the Chief Financial Officer for the Lackland Independent School District on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. She served in this role for the past 19 years. She served as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance at Southside Independent School District in San Antonio for 8 years. Her duties in both of these roles included finance, payroll, human resources, maintenance/operations, transportation, food service, police department, data processing, PEIMS, records management, and construction. She served in these and other roles for a total of 45 years.
She received her undergraduate degree from Incarnate Word College and her MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She served as President of the TASBO organization in 2010 and as an officer or chair of a TASBO affiliate and research committee. Becky has earned the designation of Registered Texas School Business Administrator through TASBO.
She regularly presents at TASBO Academies, Workshops, Conferences, and Webinars. She has been involved in management reviews for school districts, charter schools, and associations throughout the State of Texas.
