2025 Curriculum Advisory Committee Vice Chair Application

The current Vice Chair will transition into the Chair position for 2025-2026. The open Vice Chair position will spend the 2025-2026 school year shadowing the Chair. The Vice Chair is critical in the curriculum area of the committee. For 2026-2027, the Vice Chair becomes the Chair. The Chair is a full member of the Professional Certification Standing Committee. The primary responsibility is the management of the Professional Certification Program and overview of all curriculum. The Chair will lead the committee in determining the curriculum and training needs of the area chaired. The committee vice chairs are appointed by the TASBO Board of Directors. 

You must have the following minimum qualifications: 

• Member of the Committee
• Current TASBO certification OR have previous experience as a member of the TASBO Board of Directors
• At least 3 years as a TASBO member
• Served a minimum of 2 years on a TASBO committee

All members will be required to sign a Volunteer Leaders Professional Standards form. If appointed, you agree to sign and follow the written code of conduct and agree to the time commitment. Time requirements include: 

• Day of leadership training in Spring/Summer (TASBO pays all expenses)
  • (Vice Chair only)
• Participate in Professional Certification Meetings:
  • (Chair only)
• Attend virtual committee hot topic meet-ups (usually 2-3 per year).
• Both Chair and Vice Chair are required to serve as mentors in the TASBO Mentoring Program
• Respond to Open Forum questions, as applicable
