The Government Finance Officers Association is conducting a pilot study of best practices in budgeting in conjunction with the Gates Foundation. Six districts across the nation, including Texas’s Wylie ISD, are participating in the pilot which encourages a multi-year, long-term look at budget development. Wylie ISD’s budget practices were recently featured in an Education Week article about the project.
