TRS Self-Audit Program

During the recent Annual TASBO Conference in Ft. Worth, the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) Employer Audit presentation included a discussion of the new Employer Self-Audit Program for Independent School Districts, Open-Enrollment Charter Schools, Institutions of Higher Education, and Education Service Centers (Self-Audit Program). The purpose of the Self-Audit Program is to provide test procedures and guidance necessary for internal auditors, school finance and business professionals to confirm the completeness and accuracy of the information reported to TRS.
