The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) is inviting interested parties to participate in an online survey designed to identify selected issues involving recognition of revenue from exchange transactions. The specific goals of the survey are to: 1) identify issues local governments have encountered in practice; 2) identify exchange transactions involving multiple-elements; and 3) determine the frequency of transactions with certain features, including: sales with a right of return, unexercised rights and discounts. The deadline for completing the survey is February 19, 2016.
