Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick recently announced appointments to the Senate Select Committee on Property Tax Reform and Relief. The Select Committee will be be holding public hearings around the state to identify ways to improve the property tax process and reduce the property tax burden on property owners. This select committee will report their recommendations to the Finance Committee prior to the 2017 85th Legislative Session.
