Analysis of E-rate Funding to Texas School Districts for Funding Year 2015

The latest Schools and Libraries Program (E-Rate) News Brief announced Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) funding year 2015 Wave 26 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) will be released on November 20, 2015. Wave 26 includes commitments for approved requests for all service types and at all discount levels. As of November 13, 2015, total aggregate commitments for funding year 2015 for waves 1 -25 were $2.51 billion for all 50 States, District of Columbia and U.S. Territories. E-rate funding is in the form of discounts on procurements of E-rate eligible items and services. 

When wave 26 FCDLs are mailed on November 20, 2015, you can check to see if your school district has a commitment by using USAC's Automated Search of Commitments tool at http://www.usac.org/sl/tools/commitments-search/Default.aspx

The table below provides an analysis of cumulative E-rate funding to Texas school district for waves 1-25 for funding year 2015. The analysis indicates that the predominate E-rate funding service type for funding year 2015 has been for internal connections including: routers, switches, hubs, wiring and other eligible products.  E-rate funding for this category has been $113,108,197 or 51% of cumulative total funding of $223,745,254 for funding waves 1-25 for funding year 2015.
