School districts need to submit their 2015 Tax Information Survey to the Texas Education Agency prior to August 31, 2015. The survey will be open to school officials beginning June 1, 2015, in the Foundation School Program System application within the Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEASE). According to TEA, if the survey is not submitted by the August 31st deadline, your district’s state funding could be adversely affected.
The Texas Education Agency announcement also stated,
"Completing the survey is important because it allows the agency to use the most accurate tax collections data possible when we calculate 2014–2015 near-final Summary of Finances (SOF) estimates in September 2015. Your district will not have another opportunity to submit revised tax collections data for the 2014–2015 school year until the district submits its J1 schedule as part of its annual financial and compliance report. The J1 schedule tax collections will not be incorporated in the 2014–2015 SOF until April 2016.”
