Please help me welcome Janét Spurgin to TASBO as Research & Policy Associate. She will expand TASBO’s ability to analyze Texas school data and calculate financial projections.
Janét comes to TASBO from the Legislative Budget Board where she was Manager of Public Education Data Analysis. She helped build and maintain school financial data models used to calculate state aid. Additionally, she responded to legislative requests for complex, large-scale data extracts and analyses affecting public education.
Prior to her work with the Legislative Budget Board, Janét was employed with the Texas Education Agency, most recently with the School Finance & Fiscal Analysis Division. She has a BA in Government & International Affairs from Augustana College.
