TEA sent out a reminder today that the Tax Information Survey is
due this Friday, August 31 by midnight. The tax information survey is the source of data TEA will use to populate the Near Final Summary of Finance to complete necessary foundation school program and recapture calculations for 2017-2108 settle up, which will occur in September. If you do not submit the tax information survey, you will not have an opportunity to correct tax collections until April, when TEA will incorporate the audited tax collections from your J-1 schedule.
You can find the tax information survey by logging into the FSP application in
TEAL. It is important to make sure that the information has been fully-submitted, which often requires approval by the superintendent or a designee.
