On December 10, 2015, President Barack Obama signed the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) also referred to as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). ESSA's provisions represent an landmark overhaul of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act.
