Yesterday, Part V of a series of updates on flexibility in administering No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) funds and consolidating administrative funds was released by the Texas Education Agency. This initiative supports one of Commissioner Michael Williams’ top priorities for Texas public education. Part V of the series focuses on selected topics including:
- Flexibility offered by consolidating administrative funds
- Expanded purposes for use of financial Fund Code 282
- Promotion of TEA's Federal flexibility initiatives
School officials should make special note of TEA's recommendation on use of a unique local option code to distinguish between schoolwide program expenditures and expenditures from an administrative cost pool.
